I’d like to show a new kind of analogy
I drink my blood for a new source of calorie
A pulsing through the sky
I am brightly, covered lightly
Keep my sweet Leo away from Scorpios
I’d like to find a new kind melody
That tunnels to a part of your memory
and turns into a dove
To calm the father, remember sister
And tuck my sweet Leo, all my little Virgos
Can we please just go outside
There's seven sisters in the sky
I'm the warming kind, and they will be your moonlight
Dancing far past midnight
And what they have to show
For the wanderers and nostalgic heroes
Perplexed with a circle
But can you please just go outside
Find them all up in the sky
I saw bravery, I saw metal sparkling magi
In the midst of a night, follow the light
I saw thievery with a slight of hand
And when we're all looking up
We see the same thing
Even when far apart
We see the same thing
Someday we'll all pulse the night

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
The UK upstarts' debut veers from sunny, psychedelic folk to bristling post-punk with reckless abandon without ever missing a beat. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 18, 2024
